2026 Retreat with Losang Samten (4 Days)

This donation will pay for your share of the expenses involved in presenting the 2026 retreat. We thank you deeply for helping bring Losang Samten and crew to the 2026 Mount Shasta retreat. Retreat topics will include elements of the Kalachakra tradition plus other underlying concepts like bodhicitta, compassion and emptiness.

Retreat Details:

  • Thursday, September 24th - Sunday, September 27th

    4 Days:
    7 -8 AM Light Breakfast for volunteers, *optional
    8:00-8:45 AM Arrival Time
    9 - 12 Morning Session
    12-1 Catered Lunch Provided
    1-4 PM Afternoon Session

    Sessions Include: teachings, sitting meditation, walking meditations.

    Retreat topics will include elements of the Kalachakra tradition plus other underlying concepts like bodhicitta, compassion and emptiness.

    Respect the Teaching: Please do not arrive late or leave early to morning or afternoon sessions. That is arriving no later than 9 AM and staying until 12 PM for the morning session, and arriving no later than 1 PM and staying until 4 PM for the afternoon session. If your schedule does not permit this, please skip the session and attend the next session that you are fully available for.

    Partial Attendance: While you will receive the most benefit from attending all 8 sessions, you are welcome to attend partial days (for example, only Saturday/Sunday). Retreat pricing is the same regardless of how many session you choose to attend.

  • A lunch is provided each of the 4 days.

    The registration form will provide an opportunity to identify dietary needs. We will do our best to accommodate everyone's needs. If we have questions about special requests we will reach out. Please feel free to bring your own meals or snacks to enjoy on the beautiful property.

    An early, light breakfast is available each morning primarily for volunteers. You may join us by advance registration.

  • In a serene setting 20 minutes from downtown Mount Shasta. We will enjoy indoor and (weather permitting) outdoor sessions on a the beautiful forest property. Please bring layers and comfortable shoes.

    Address and directions will be provided upon registration.

  • These special packages give you the satisfaction of providing extra support in helping spread dharma.

    As a thank you in return, we can offer:

    • Copy of “The Wheel of Time Sand Mandala” book, signed by Losang Samten. (An out of print book which tells the story of Losang Samten’s first Sand Mandala in the West.)

    • Prayer flags displayed and blessed at the Lower Lodge during the Kalachakra Sand Mandala.

    • You can choose to keep these items or offer them to others as a blessing.

  • A central part of our mission is to make our programs accessible to all. We offer the opportunity to directly donate to financially sponsoring attendees who may not otherwise be able to attend.
